Why is my real-world MPG lower than the official figure?
Official MPG figures come from the WLTP lab test cycle. Most drivers achieve 15–20% less in normal use because of traffic, weather, terrain and driving style.
How accurate are your real-world figures?
We use averages from owner-reported data and Honest John / WhatCar real-world tests. Your individual result will vary by ±10%.
Can I use this for an electric car?
EVs are flagged separately — for them, use the Cost Per Mile calculator which works in p/kWh.
